Andy Booth is the founder of ABOUTAsia Travel, a bespoke tour company that specializes in crowd-free visits to Cambodia. He shares a top tip for catching the sunset in Siem Reap.
“Sunset for me is a time to reflect on the day, cold drink in hand, looking over a beautiful scene with only the sound of cicadas or birds,” says Booth.
“Certainly I would avoid the over-busy site of Phnom Bakheng as cited in most guidebooks.

My general advice would be to have your guide take you to one of the quieter temples in the forest, or around the moat of Angkor Thom, and enjoy the serenity and late afternoon light after the crowds have left for home.”
